Summary

Years in the making, Sarah J。 Maas’s #1 New York Times bestselling Throne of Glass series draws to an epic, unforgettable conclusion。 Aelin Galathynius’s journey from slave to king’s assassin to the queen of a once-great kingdom reaches its heart-rending finale as war erupts across her world。 。 。

Aelin has risked everything to save her people―but at a tremendous cost。 Locked within an iron coffin by the Queen of the Fae, Aelin must draw upon her fiery will as she endures months of torture。 Aware that yielding to Maeve will doom those she loves keeps her from breaking, though her resolve begins to unravel with each passing day…

With Aelin captured, Aedion and Lysandra remain the last line of defense to protect Terrasen from utter destruction。 Yet they soon realize that the many allies they’ve gathered to battle Erawan’s hordes might not be enough to save them。 Scattered across the continent and racing against time, Chaol, Manon, and Dorian are forced to forge their own paths to meet their fates。 Hanging in the balance is any hope of salvation―and a better world。

And across the sea, his companions unwavering beside him, Rowan hunts to find his captured wife and queen―before she is lost to him forever。

As the threads of fate weave together at last, all must fight, if they are to have a chance at a future。 Some bonds will grow even deeper, while others will be severed forever in the explosive final chapter of the Throne of Glass series。

A bit anticlimactic at times, but good。 Did it REALLY need to be 1000 pages though? The amount of times I dozed off says no。 I mean, still good。 Just unendingggggg dear God。

5 stars isn’t enough for this book。 The end is sooo beautiful! I’m just sad that it’s over but happy that this book got the end that it deserved。

I’m physically and mentally destroyed。 I was told by my friends back in February that I should read the series。 Not gunna lie had felt really hesitant and kept putting it off until I started。 And let me tell you I REGRET PUTTING IT OFF I mean it。 I loved these books so much that I genuinely would scrap aside my exams and lessons and just read them。 It got onto this book and I knew I was in for heartbreak。 I’ve been crying for a few hours now。 Broken? Yes。 Disappointed it’s over? 100%。 Will I be I’m physically and mentally destroyed。 I was told by my friends back in February that I should read the series。 Not gunna lie had felt really hesitant and kept putting it off until I started。 And let me tell you I REGRET PUTTING IT OFF I mean it。 I loved these books so much that I genuinely would scrap aside my exams and lessons and just read them。 It got onto this book and I knew I was in for heartbreak。 I’ve been crying for a few hours now。 Broken? spoilersI can't believe it's over。 And what a ride。。。I was very sad when I realized that Aelin and Chaol wouldn't be endgame。 But now, I understand why they aren't meant for each other。 Aelin needs someone who understands her and loves her the way she is。 Rowan is incredible and just perfect for her。 I'm happy they found each other and that they defeated Maeve together。 How symbolicYreneeeeeee!!! The savior! I'm so proud of her and I love her so much。 And she has Chaol as a husband, my favorite character in the entire series。 I'll miss him so much and I wish we could have seen him as a father too。 I'm just in love with his character and I'm so relieved that he's found the ONE。 He deserved it。 Especially after what happened with Aelin。 Dorian was THE MAN in this book。 He destroyed Morath ALONE。 He even outwitted Maeve! I'm so proud of our boy。 I just hope that everything will go well with Manon。 They're so unexpected but they also work so well together。 And I'll definitely miss Manon and AbraxosI wanted to see so much more of Elide and Lorcan, but they were pissed at each other most of the time! I'm still satisfied with how it ended for them。 AEDION AND LYSSANDRA。 AHHHHH it took them a veryyyy long time to confess to each other but FINALLY, they did towards the end of the book。 And they almost killed me with their cuteness。 They didn't get a lot of moments together, but they're going to get married so I'm ok。 I've so many things to say about this series but I don't have the words to express how much I loved it。 I'm definitely gonna reread it in the future。 I'm gonna miss them all so much!! 。。。more

A great ending to a good series of books。 I was captivated until the end, wondering who would live and die among the solid characters。 I loved that the author was willing to put us through the possibilities of loss。 I also loved that she was willing to show us how things would continue in the future of her world。 This series has been a welcome distraction from reality!

So, this exists。 This book was ridiculously long and I don’t care for the romanticised abusive relationships or for any of the characters

Tbh the wrap up was really nice but it was a struggle to get to the last 200 pages (where everything of note happened。 So that’s like 800 pages that I barely even remember)。 I am annoyed but unsurprised that everyone settled into their happy hetero couplings that have been brewing for the last 15 books or so but it didn’t ruin it for me。 And I won’t lie, the last 20 pages had me crying。 This series is good if you need some YA fantasy fluff, but it’s not going into my hall of fame list。 It’s suuu Tbh the wrap up was really nice but it was a struggle to get to the last 200 pages (where everything of note happened。 So that’s like 800 pages that I barely even remember)。 I am annoyed but unsurprised that everyone settled into their happy hetero couplings that have been brewing for the last 15 books or so but it didn’t ruin it for me。 And I won’t lie, the last 20 pages had me crying。 This series is good if you need some YA fantasy fluff, but it’s not going into my hall of fame list。 It’s suuuuper long and I don’t really think it needed to be stretched out to however many books there are, but! I really liked this book, I would have rated it higher but there was just so much going on。。。。。。。。I often found myself losing track of who’s POV we were following and what was happening。 I kinda wish this was two separate novels。 Overall it was a nice ending and wrap up to the story。

If I could give this book infinite stars I would because it went waaaay beyond my already elevated expectations for it。 I mean Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn kind of prepared me for this amazing book because they were fantastic and I knew that they were only going to lead to an absolutely breathtaking concluding book。 I knew this book would be really emotional especially with how Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn ended so I wasn't at all surprised when I found myself to be an emotional mess If I could give this book infinite stars I would because it went waaaay beyond my already elevated expectations for it。 I mean Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn kind of prepared me for this amazing book because they were fantastic and I knew that they were only going to lead to an absolutely breathtaking concluding book。 I knew this book would be really emotional especially with how Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn ended so I wasn't at all surprised when I found myself to be an emotional mess pretty much from start to finish, like I lost count of how many times I cried while reading this, and I mean like red face, puffy eyes crying。 I will say that of course it wasn't all sad tears, there were also a lot of happy tears but my heart was literally going through a proper ordeal while I was reading。 Sarah J。 Maas just has such a way of writing where there are characters that just have a special place in the heart, even some characters that aren't really as developed in the story as others are so during the events of the book I honestly felt like I was right there with the characters。I mean I can safely say that this is one of my favourite books in general and one of the best in the whole series, I hope that whoever is unsure about this series starts reading it because I can assure them that they do get better as the series develops (although I loved all the books)。 I mean I managed to finish this brick of a book in 3 days and I would have read it in one sitting if I didn't have other things to do, it just had me gripped while reading it and when I wasn't reading it I was thinking about it! The characters just went through so much in this book and I can't help but be proud of them, especially Aelin because she just constantly demonstrated her strength and resilience but also allowed us to see her weak moments, her vulnerable moments and I love her all the more for that。 Just so much was happening in this book but all the different storylines seamlessly fitted with each other and actually assisted the plot very well。 There were also so many twists and turns, again both good and bad ones, which made this book even more of a page-turner and it was just so action-packed and the last 100 pages or so just had me crying from sadness and then crying from happiness over and over again。 There were some things that I thought were a bit unnecessary but I think that's just because I didn't want them to happen because they made me sad but despite that I adored this book and it made me love the characters so much more than I already did (which was a lot to start with)。 I feel like there is a lot of potential for more books in this world (maybe a crossover with ACOTAR? Who knows) because there are still some elements of the story that I think deserve their own novel or novella (this is obviously because I am incredibly attached to this series now and am sad to have read the last book in it)。Some SPOILERY gushing lies beyond this point - proceed with caution(view spoiler)[ Also I just have to say how happy I am about Rowan and Aelin finally finding happiness together and imagining a beautiful future for themselves with a prosperous kingdom and a family! And I love Elide and Lorcan's relationship and how he's so soft and besotted when it comes to her。 Chaol and Yrene also make me so happy because they just deserve all the happiness in the world because Chaol is honestly one of my favourite characters and I want him to be happy and Yrene is just such an amazing character and complements him so well, the letter from Chaol's mum to him was also such a great thing to include! I am so happy with Aedion and Lysandra as well, there were ups and downs but my goodness I love them together and am happy they got their happy ending! Dorian and Manon also made me happy because I don't want either of them to be alone and feel like they would suit each other so well beyond their casual relationship that we see in Kingdom of Ash and Empire of Storms (I am secretly hoping for a book about them tbh) and Nesryn and Sartaq! I would love for there to be a book about them as well because I adore them and wish for more to be written about them as a couple and about what happens when they return to the khaganate! THIS BOOK! First I thought it was a lot。。。 980 pages? Damn。。 but holy smoly this is amazing! SO many emotions, such a rollercoaster。 I love it! There’s so many good chapters, and I felt like every character had a good ending, still open, but good。 (Expect one)。 Otherwise, this is absolutely amazing。
